During my first term as Mayor, I have seen my childhood city go through many changes. My administration and I have worked hard to combat the negative issues that large cities across the nation are encountering, while also working to make improvements to the services offered to our citizens. Below are the accomplishments for which I am most proud:

  • Instituting reforms to the Parma Police Department and maintaining a high level of public safety while operating with below optimal numbers
  • Entering into a lease with the Cleveland Metroparks to have Parma's West Creek Reservation become a Metroparks reserve
  • Completion of the Pleasant Valley Road widening project, a venture twenty years in the making, as well as several other infrastructure projects helped improve traffic flow in the city
  • Construction of new housing in the city for the first time in years
  • Forming an independent Blue Ribbon Commission to gauge Parma's progress and make recommendations for the future of the community
  • Entering into new partnerships with the Parma City School District, Parma Community General Hospital, Parmatown Mall, and other local business and community leaders

My personal website was created to not only provide you with relevant information about the governance of Ohio's seventh largest city, but also to share insights about local public policy issues and current events that impact citizens whether they reside in Parma or not.

I encourage you to explore the site and the valuable resources contained within. The site will be updated regularly during my campaign and beyond, so check back often. Also, please take advantage of the site's new features, including the volunteer section and press release page.

In addition, please feel free to contact me in regards to any concerns or suggestions you may have. Parma is on the brink of something great, and with your help, we will succeed!

Sincerely,

Dean DePiero
Mayor of Parma
